Tucson city officials honored Michael A. Pollack Real Estate Investments for giving a "significant contribution to community enhancement" for the redevelopment of Flowing Wells Plaza. Some of the dignitaries present at the recognition ceremony included Tucson's mayor Robert Walkup and several congressional representatives.

Since it was purchased in 1998, the 78,921 square-foot shopping center has seen dramatic changes. Once boarded up and near abandonment, the center now enjoys almost 100% occupancy. The $700,000 redevelopment helped to bring both community interest and new tenants to the center. Some of these tenants include a grocery anchor, national dollar store, fitness center and regional pizza restaurant.
